There has been an enormous growth in livestock farming, where poultry farming showed an impeccable growth of 66% compared to 1999 it clearly states the consumption of protein by the ever so growing population of South Africa. Feed lime plays a greater role in the conditions of your livestock than credited for, as published prior a living animal does not generate its own Calcium and therefore the importance of daily intake. The importance of Calcium is not bound only to Human life, but has a tremendous impact to general livestock including but not limited to the Poultry, Beef, and Pork etc. farming in South Africa. Limestone not only assists with the providing of calcium fortification, but assists with digestion and other revolving issues.

Research shows that the correct intake of animal feed lime or Limestone, resulted in greater dry intake as well as balancing the pH in the gastro-intestinal tract of ruminants.

INCA Mining as a well-known supplier of Feed lime in South Africa had samples taken and the latest test results done at Brookside Laboratories in the US, shows Calcium values of between 33 and 35 %. Looking at the vast growth shown in Livestock Farming in South Africa, where Feed lime containing the right value of Calcium plays a vital role in the condition of the animals, INCA Mining is excited to list our latest test results including our Calcium values in our profound Animal Feed.

At INCA Mining we are constantly improving on our processing plant and quality systems to ensure we can deliver a quality and cost efficient product to the industry. Considering the -1mm, 1-3mm, and -3mm mixture of feed lime we supply, we believe we have the right feed lime available for the correct application. Projects

We are glad to announce that the new storage facility has just been completed to ensure that we have the necessary stock values in the rain season; furthermore we are busy improving our conveying system that will in effect improve maintenance cost and productivity. With the constant drive for improvement INCA Mining has numerous projects planned for 2012, to improve on control systems including an upgrade on our bagging plant, as well as obtaining a new excavator to improve our mining productivity.
